With the end of the school year at the door, I am planning to sit down with my kids and have them set goals for the summer to keep them learning and growing. These will include fitness goals, music and art goals, math goals, and finally, WRITING and READING goals.
I've been thinking about what I want my own goals to be. I have to admit that I'm not really considering a math goal, unless I count staying in the budget, but summer really is a great time for those that are home to work on developing interests and talents.
My summer writing goal is to work at least two times a week on my current work in progress, and once a week on editing Escaping Neverland so it will be ready to publish by late August. (I'm so excited for this!)
As far as reading goes, I'm already working on a few things, including some mental health books to keep my mind sharp and learning about my field of study while I take a break from school, and a couple of books recommended before my husband and I go on a pioneer trek with the youth from our church. After those, I think I need some good fiction to wash it all down with. Any recommendations?
What are you doing this summer?
